85th Gucci Series Bags
Remember the elephant and snowman dancing Gucci Boston Bag? It’s one of the pieces of Gucci’s “85th Gucci” series. 2006 is the 85th anniversary of the boutique sector Gucci. To celebrate 85th birthday and development, creative director Frida Giannini designed a series Gucci bag of limited edition handbags, called the “85th Gucci” series.
This series, including “Hobo bag” and “Boston bag”, inherit Gucci sexy modern style while at the same time welcome fun elements. The Boston bags are colorful in print. In addition to the elephant and snowman Boston bag, the snake and snowman Boston bag is as much playful and yummy as the Chanel handbags. Behind the bush, a yellow snake winds around a snowman whose appears helpless and bitter. The three bright colors, yellow, green and white, are harmoniously delightful. The underpainting is Gucci classic interlocking G pattern. Personally, I like the elephant and snowman Boston bag better. The Boston bags come into plain or Guccisima Leather or suede.

To pay honor to Gucci’s history of starting as a riding equipment workshop, new-interpretation of each bag is attached to the horse based on the outline. Low-key manner with copper and enamel badge specially made for the anniversary is added as a decoration, too.
Moreover, oversized horse-bit ornaments are adopted and several colors and materials are especially developed for this anniversary; to show the brand spirit every bag has a new harness ornament inside the bag and a anniversary souvenir badge made from copper and enamel. Other looks will include a patchwork of multicolored strips of reptile skins and "web tartan," which will involve a stylized velvet plaid with the double G logo in velvet.
